Anand Thyagachandran is currently a Research Scientist at Origin Medical Research Lab, where he is developing the next generation of safe, reliable, and robust AI systems to advance prenatal care through fetal ultrasound imaging. His research focuses on applying machine learning and deep learning techniques to biomedical data, with expertise in analysing CT, EEG, and ultrasound modalities. He has authored multiple research publications in medical AI, contributing to the development of intelligent healthcare solutions.

Before joining Origin Medical Research Lab, Anand was a PhD scholar in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Madras, where his research centred on biomedical data analysis using advanced machine learning methods. Prior to his doctoral studies, he served as an Assistant Professor at VFSTR University. Anand earned his master’s degree from the School of Computer and Information Sciences (SCIS), University of Hyderabad, where his research focused on the cryptanalysis of GSM communication systems. He received his bachelor’s degree from the College of Engineering Perumon, affiliated with Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT).
